Hample is officially 1!! We’ve had a busy first year here at Hample HQ, and so many changes!!
Last August I sold my busy and bustling Italian shop and deli that I started by scratch! Back in 2010, I found a lovely old butchers shop, harassed a newly retired butcher until he agreed to take a chance in me as a tennant, set about finding the best Italian suppliers and sat on eBay for weeks collecting tables, chairs, shelving, alessi teapots and original 1950s Italian movie posters and lobby cards. I even paired the shelves in my back garden and - as a single mum with nothing more than a fiat punto - carried the painted shelves from my house to the shop! 
Over the years my charming shop got busier and busier, until 10 years later I decided to sell up and start afresh with a brand new Italian food business, this time nationwide!
Setting up Hample was fast paced and fun, as we are three businesses sharing a gorgeous Victorian shop fronted premises in Adnitt Road Abington Northampton we call the ‘old fancy dress shop’ because that’s what it was. Sharing with Amy, the owner of Spread sandwich shop and caterer, and Liv and Scarlett, owners of Nova Beauty and Aesthetics, has been so much fun. The support and positivity we can bring to each other’s businesses is what life is all about!

The Hample website was launched on 7th November 2022 and one year on I am so very appreciative to have progressed to a new place, with good vibes and I can take all the time, care and attention I need to creating my Hample style Italian food boxes and Italian foodie gifts and send them out regularly to Cambridgeshire, Lancashire, Buckinghamshire, Norfolk, Devon, London, Birmingham, Scotland, Wales… phew!
I don’t think there’s an area of Great Britain mainland I haven’t sent Hample Delights to. I’m so appreciative too to have local collections by the lovely folk of Northants. Always great to speak to customers face to face and see how happy they are with their Hample.
